Study with Zorn's Palette

Study with Zorn's Palette

Better Days Behind

Many painting days in Wester New York present an old barn as the subject. This one, like many others from the 19th and 20th centuries, has fallen into a state of disrepair, and will probably fall down before it's taken down. Light as seen through a building always catches my eye, and this warm spring day presented an opportunity to render the holes and also the contrast of highlights over shadows.
